HOW TO BECOME AN AVIATION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Anyone performing maintenance on an aircraft must be competent and qualified. The course complies with EU Regulation 1321/2014 of the European Commission of November 26, 2014, and EU Regulation No. 216/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of February 20, 2008, Parts 66 and 147. The Post-Diploma Advanced Professional Specialization Course for Airline Aircraft Maintenance Technicians [Airplane Cat. B1.1 - Avionics Cat. B2] includes 540 hours of theoretical training and 450 hours of practical training in the hangar. The theoretical portion is delivered in a classroom or via online webinar in the presence of the instructor, for a total of 540 hours of training. At the end of each module, students take the corresponding exam to obtain the Certificate of Recognition (CoR). Students will be provided with manuals for studying the various subjects. The practical component is conducted in laboratories or at approved aviation workshops, for a total of 54 days with the practical instructor present. At the end of the practical training, students will take the assessments required by the program to obtain the CoR Skilled Worker certification.
