TO ENROLL IN THE COURSE, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS

1. 18 years of age
2. Physical and mental fitness: “Medical Fitness for Cabin Crew” certificate
3. Women: minimum height 1.58 m.
4. Arm reach while standing: 210 cm.
5. Men: minimum height 1.70 m.
6. Weight in proportion to height.
7. No visible tattoos or piercings while in uniform.
8. Have a good command of written and spoken English (B1/B2 level).
9. Geographical availability, meaning you must live or be willing to relocate within 60 minutes of your future assignment location.
10. High school diploma (not required but strongly recommended).
11. Knowing how to swim.
12. Possess a proactive attitude and be willing to work as part of a team.

1. aviation terminology, theory of flight, passenger distribution, areas of operation, meteorology, and the effects of aircraft surface contamination;
2. aviation regulations pertaining to cabin crew and the role of the competent authority;
3. the duties and responsibilities of cabin crew during operations and the need to respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations;
4. continuing competence and fitness to perform the duties of a cabin crew member, including with regard to flight and duty time limitations and rest requirements;
5. the importance of ensuring that relevant documents and manuals are kept up to date, with any amendments provided by the operator as applicable;
6. the importance of cabin crew performing their duties in accordance with the operator’s operations manual;
7. the importance of the cabin crew’s pre-flight briefing and the provision of necessary safety information regarding their specific duties;
8. the importance of determining when cabin crew members have the authority and responsibility to initiate an evacuation and other emergency procedures.

During training, emphasis shall be placed on the importance of effective communication between cabin crew and flight crew, including communication techniques, common language, and terminology.

Introductory course on human factors (HF) in aviation and crew resource management (CRM)
This course shall be conducted by at least one cabin crew CRM instructor. The training elements shall be covered in depth and shall include at least the following:

1. General: human factors in aviation, general instructions on CRM principles and objectives, human performance and limitations;
2. Relevant to individual cabin crew members: self-awareness, human error and reliability, attitudes and behaviors, self-assessment; stress and stress management; fatigue and vigilance; assertiveness; situational awareness, information acquisition and processing.

1. the importance of proper seat assignment with regard to aircraft mass and balance, special categories of passengers, and the need to seat able-bodied passengers near exits that are not supervised;
2. rules governing the safe stowage of carry-on baggage and cabin service items, and the risk of such items posing a hazard to passengers or otherwise obstructing or damaging emergency equipment or exits;
3. guidance on identifying and managing passengers who are, or become, intoxicated with alcohol, under the influence of drugs, or aggressive;
4. precautions to be taken when live animals are transported in the passenger compartment;
5. duties to be performed in the event of turbulence, including securing the passenger compartment; and
6. methods used to encourage passengers and the crowd control measures necessary to facilitate an emergency evacuation.

Aero-medical aspects and first aid:

1. general instruction on aeromedical aspects and survival;
2. the physiological effects of flying, with particular emphasis on hypoxia, oxygen requirements, Eustachian tube function, and barotrauma;
3. basic first aid, including care for:
   • air sickness;
   • gastrointestinal disturbances;
   • hyperventilation;
   • burns;
   • wounds;
   • the unconscious; and
   • fractures and soft tissue injuries;
4. in-flight medical emergencies and related first aid, covering at least:
   • asthma;
   • stress and allergic reactions;
   • shock;
   • diabetes;
   • choking;
   • epilepsy;
   • childbirth;
   • stroke; and
   • heart attack;
5. the use of appropriate equipment, including first-aid oxygen, first-aid kits, and emergency medical kits, as well as their contents;
6. practical cardiopulmonary resuscitation training for each cabin crew member using a specially designed manikin and taking into account the characteristics of an aircraft environment; and
7. travel health and hygiene, including:
   • hygiene on board;
   • the risk of exposure to infectious diseases and ways to reduce such risks;
   • handling of clinical waste;
   • aircraft pest control;

   • alertness management, physiological effects of fatigue, sleep physiology, circadian rhythm, and time zone changes

Dangerous goods in accordance with the applicable ICAO Technical Instructions.

General security aspects in aviation, including awareness of the provisions set forth in Regulation (EC) No 300/2008.

1. emphasis on the responsibility of cabin crew to respond promptly to emergencies involving fire and smoke and, in particular, emphasis on the importance of identifying the actual source of the fire;
2. the importance of immediately notifying the flight crew, as well as the specific actions required for coordination and assistance, when fire or smoke is detected;
3. the need for frequent inspections of areas at risk of fire, including restrooms, and the associated smoke detectors;
4. the classification of fires and the appropriate types of extinguishing agents and procedures for specific fire situations;
5. the techniques for applying fire extinguishing agents, the consequences of improper application, and their use in confined spaces, including practical training in firefighting and in the donning and use of smoke protection equipment used in aviation; and
6. the general procedures for ground-based emergency services at aerodromes.

Survival training:

1. principles of survival in hostile environments (e.g., polar, desert, jungle, sea); and
2. water survival training, which shall include the actual donning and use of personal flotation devices in water and the use of slide-rafts or similar equipment, as well as practical exercises in water.

Practical training focuses primarily on emergency procedures, including drills involving fire and smoke, ditching exercises, and first aid. It lasts 20 hours.
